FIVB: Victory gives PRC sole possession of overall top spot

Three-time champion China kept alive its hopes of winning the title after emerging victorious in a pivotal match against Russia at FIVB Women's World Cup.Taobao agent

The win gave China a 9-1 overall record, good for 27 points, and first place overall.

Before the contest, China and Russia were tied atop the standings with 24 points and with only a round-robin format, this match would go a long way to deciding the actual winner of the women's world volleyball showpiece.

China took the first point of the game with a big block.

In the second point, the serve from China just caught the line, and coach Lang Ping confirmed it to her players.
On set point, another block gave China the set, 25-23.

China’s domination at the net continues as the team took a 12-7 lead. It won the set with another block, 25-15.

But Russia made some changes and fought back in the third, winning the set with a block, 25-23.

In the fourth, Lang decided to put Yuan Xinyue on the court, and the switch paid off as Yuan was strong on both offense and defence. China went on to take the set 25-20, and win the match 3 sets to 1, moving into first place overall,English Taobao  despite being tied with Serbia with nine victories each.
