China Smartphone Shipments 2015: Only 1.2% Growth

This year, although the market position will be retained, China’s growth of shipment is obviously slowing down. The YoY growth rate of smartphone shipment in China in 2015 is expected to increase by only 1.2% compared with last year’s 19.7%. China will remain the world’s largest smartphone market in terms of shipment, but the share ratio of the global market in 2019 is expected to fall to 23.1%. While at the same time, the Indian market will continue to grow according to IDC.
China’s smartphone market is becoming saturated, and the global smartphone shipments in 2015 are predicted to grow by only about 10.4%, lower than the previous quarter 11.3%. The average price of the device (ASP) has showed trends of decline; however, the global smartphone shipments in 2019 can still maintain a relatively steady growth. By 2019, the global smartphone shipments are expected to reach 1.9 billion, Taobao Broker with an annual growth rate of 5.1%.
