Beckham brings voices of children to UN General Assembly

Special guest was in attendance during UN's general assembly.Taobao agent Former Real Madrid and Manchester United star David Beckham spoke as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, a post he has held for the past 11 years, to give his views on some of the key issues affecting the world.

The 40-year-old has been involved in various projects that use sport as a means to help children in poverty stricken countries. Having retired from football in 2013 the London born Beckham has dedicated his time to the development of the beautiful game around the world.
At the Assembly he shared a stage with the U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki moon and spoke about his recent experiences in the role and the problems the world faces when it comes to child poverty.
"Over the last decade, I've met children and mothers living with HIV in South Africa," David Beckham said, "I've seen starving children in Sierra Leone. And a couple of months ago, I met children experience severe violence in Cambodia. 2014 was one of the most devastating years on record for children. Due to conflicts, more than 15 million children were exposed to extreme violence and many more affected by natural disasters. 2015 is proving to be just as bad.China Ebay As a UNICEF ambassador and as a father, it breaks my heart to see children continue to suffer."
