Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard currently is in Beijing. The big man is in town to finalize a new sponsorship deal with Chinese shoe brand Peak.

The former NBA all-star used to be sponsored by Adidas, but he left them to sign a deal with the Chinese sportswear company.

The announcement came at a flashy event in Beijing, where the three new models of his shoe were also showcased.

Howard is the third NBA player to sign with Peak, joining Tony Parker and the now retired Jason Kidd, who coaches the Milwaukee Bucks.

"We think the Houston Rockets have a chance at winning the NBA title next season. Howard will bring good luck to Peak," China Ebay said Peak CEO Xu Zhihua.
