The final National League Division Series, as the LA Dodgers hosted the New York Mets in a winner-take-all Game Five for the right to face the Chicago Cubs in the NLCS.Taobao agent And what has been a tight and emotional series would come down to a display of heads-up baserunning, followed by an outburst of power from Daniel Murphy, as the Amazins looked to put away Zach Greinke and the Boys In Blue on the road.

This game played on the 27th anniversary of Kirk Gibson's dramatic home run that helped LA win its last World Series back in 1988, with Greinke hoping to help end that drought this fall.

But Murphy roughs up the Dodgers pitcher with a double to left-centerfield in the top of the first inning. That brings Curtis Granderson around with the first run of the game for New York, while Murphy advances all the way to third base after Enrique Hernandez has trouble coming up with the ball.

The hosts tie things up in the bottom of the first, before Andre Ethier bloops a ball between the Mets shortstop and leftfielder, and that pushes Adrian Gonzalez across the plate with the go-ahead run, as LA jumps in front 2-1.
In the top of the fourth inning, Greinke walks Lucas Duda with Murphy already on first base, and because the Dodgers had called a defensive shift in hopes of getting Duda to hit into a double play, Murphy decides to steal third base since it's wide open, and he's safe by a mile -- a lapse Don Mattingly rightly suspects will come back to bite to his team in very short order.

Travis D'Arnaud the next batter, and he sends Greinke's pitch into the rightfield corner. The ball stays in the park but it's also deep enough to score Murphy on a sacrifice fly, and that ties the score at 2-2, as Murphy's awareness on the basepaths proves that Mattingly's worries were indeed justified.

The home team tries to rally in the bottom of the fourth, but Corey Seager goes down swinging against Jacob DeGrom, and last season's Rookie of the Year would finish with seven strikeouts on the evening.

And Murphy makes his hurler's efforts stand up, as he takes Greinke over the wall in rightfield in the top of the sixth. Murphy doing it all for the Mets as his solo home run puts the visitors in front 3-2, and that blast would turn out to be the difference maker, as New York hangs on to win the series three games to two.

That means the Mets will face the Cubs when the National League Championship Series gets underway on Saturday, while the Kansas City Royals take on the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALCS, which starts later on Friday.China Ebay
